RULES: This match will be governed by the rules prescribed by the Civilian Marksmanship Program.

OPEN TO: Any citizen of the United States 16 years of age or older. The match director upon presentation of proof of the competitor's ability to handle a service rifle safely and complete the match course of fire may waive the age requirement.

COURSE OF FIRE: John C. Garand Match, Course A, will be used. Competitors will fire 35 total rounds, 5 sighting shots and 30 shots for record, at 200 yards on the standard 200-yard SR (short range) high power rifle target.
First Stage: 10 shots for record slow fire in the prone position in 10 minutes, following five sighting shots in five minutes.
Second Stage: 10 shots for record rapid fire in the prone position in 70 seconds with one reload.
Third Stage: 10 shots for record slow fire in the standing position in 10 minutes.

ARMS: As issued U.S. Rifle Cal. .30 M1 (Garand), U.S. Rifle Cal. .30 M1903 (Springfield), M1903A3, M1917 (Enfield), U.S. Rifle Cal. .30 M1941 (Johnson), U.S. Rifle Cal. .30 Army (Krag) or U.S. Carbine Cal. .30 M1.
(M1 rifles will be available the day of the match for those who would like to borrow one. Please make prior arrangements to borrow a rifle by contacting the match director.) -
AMMUNITION: CMP provided USGI Cal. .30 M2 Ball. Competitors firing the Krag rifle and M1 Carbine must provide their own safe ammunition and will receive an entry fee reduction of $5.00.

AWARDS: Special miniature CMP gold, silver, and bronze medals will be presented to competitors who shoot qualifying scores as follows:
GOLD- a score of 279 or higher
SILVER- a score of 271-278
BRONZE- a score of 260-270

GENERAL INFORMATION: There are restrooms at the range. Please bring your own drinks and food if desired. Participation in this match will satisfy the shooting requirement for purchasing surplus rifles from the Civilian Marksmanship Program.
